Neil is the co-founding partner of Gregory | Wei Wealth Counsel, a full service wealth management team focused on providing pro-active and timely solutions to high net worth families and professionals. Prior to joining Richardson GMP Ltd in 2009, he was an Investment Advisor at a private boutique firm Wellington West (2004-2009). Neil started his career with TD Canada Trust in various roles his last being Manager, Private Banking in TD’s Private Client Group in Calgary.

Over the past 20 years, Neil has focused his attention on the importance of creating a solid foundation of shared values, integrity, and fostering strong personal relationships with our clients. He takes great pride in helping clients define what is important to them and to help them achieve their goals through a conservative valued-oriented investment style that is both consistent and measurable.

Neil earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1998 and shortly after attained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder in 2001.

Equally important to Neil is his impact on a number of children and social welfare causes. As a Director of the Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC). MCSC leverages new technology to help prevent the abduction of missing children and to locate those missing, support programs to help families as they deal with the loss of a child, and employs investigators to search for missing children.

For more than a decade, Neil has been a Director on the Foundation Board of Wood’s Homes, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit agency works with more than 20,000 at-risk children, youth and families every year from across Canada. Neil has helped raise millions of dollars to support their children’s mental health initiatives.

Neil loves to teach so in his spare time he volunteers as a baseball, hockey and basketball coach.

As a co-founding partner of Gregory | Wei Wealth Counsel, Stanley brings more than 13 years of investment management, financial, tax, and estate planning experience. Prior to joining Richardson GMP Ltd in 2009, he was a Senior Associate Investment Advisor at Wellington West Capital (2007-2009) and prior to that worked as a Financial Planning Specialist at Richardson Partners Financial Ltd. (2005-2007). Stanley helps our clients achieve their life aspirations by guiding them through a process-driven, total wealth management approach. Working in collaboration with his clients’ other professional advisors and Richardson GMP’s in-house Tax & Estate Planning Team, Stanley is well-equipped to provide strategic solutions to our clients’ most sophisticated financial needs. In 2001, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from the University of Calgary. Stanley has earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designations. He is also a fully licensed life, accident and sickness agent. Passionate about his community, Stanley holds a Board of Director position with Missing Children Society of Canada (MCSC), a national charitable organization which leverages innovative technology to help prevent the abduction of missing children and to locate those missing. He’s had the privilege to Chair MCSC’s annual fundraiser Raise Hope Gala for the past four years that have raised a total $500,000. Past volunteer involvement include the Program Advisory Committee at SAIT in advising on its development of their Financial Services curriculum. Stanley loves to travel, is an avid skier, and in the summer time you’ll find him on the Bow River fly fishing. He is fluent in French and can speak Mandarin.

For the past fourteen years Katie has cultivated a reputation for fostering close, professional and personal relationships with clients and colleagues.  Her genuine compassion, care and thoughtfulness for our clients is a key differentiator and underpins our approach to client service.  Katie is responsible for the overall operation and oversight of Gregory | Wei Wealth Counsel and ensures that our client’s wealth planning needs are prioritized, coordinated and organized. 

Katie is passionate about her community and loves to give back to those less fortunate.  For three consecutive years she chaired the Silent Auction Committee for the annual fundraiser in support of Inn from the Cold.   Katie also volunteers her time and creativity with other charitable organizations focused on the general welfare of children.

Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Calgary in 2003.  She is married to Sean and has two beautiful and vibrant children.

Lauren joined Gregory | Wei Wealth Counsel in February of 2016.   Along with her friendly and professional qualities Lauren has an eagerness to apply her expanding knowledge base.  Her “can do” attitude and dedication to the details has made her a valued member of the team.   Lauren embodies and exemplifies the key elements of our Core Values.

Lauren is accountable for the management of our day-to-day operations and execution of our administrative requests.  As lead Administrative Assistant she proactively maintains our client records by ensuring they are completed accurately and adheres to the highest level of compliance and regulatory best practices.  

Born and raised in Calgary, Lauren is an avid health enthusiast.  Her dedication to her physical fitness has resulted in placing 2nd in her first Natural Physique & Athletics Association (NPAA) body building competition.

Kyle embarked on his financial services career in 2013 shortly after graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Economics.  His studies sparked a deeper fascination with macroeconomic trends and their influence on financial and capital markets. To help broaden his knowledge base Kyle is working towards his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation.  He became a member of Gregory | Wei Wealth Counsel in November 2016 with a focus on research, trade execution, and customizing clients’ portfolios in relation to their specific wealth planning goals.

Kyle practices diligent and thoughtful client service and is dedicated to helping our clients move towards achieving their specific financial goals.   

Kyle enjoys skiing, hiking, and is an avid hockey player.   

Robert Mendenhall, J.D., LL.M.

Vice President, Tax & Estate Planning

As part of the Tax & Estate Planning team, Robert works closely with clients and their Investment Advisors to identify solutions that address clients’ overall wealth planning needs. Once clients have a clear understanding of their planning needs, he focuses on helping them and their professional advisors implement the solutions selected.

Robert is a lawyer with many years of experience. Before coming to Richardson GMP, he worked at other financial institutions advising clients on trust, estate, and tax planning. Prior to that, he was a partner in a law firm. Robert obtained his Juris Doctor from the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan. Later, he obtained a Master of Laws degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University.

Robert has advanced his interests in wealth and estate planning by completing significant course work in tax and wealth preservation. He is a trained mediator and has actively mediated for the courts for many years. He has also completed training as a family business advisor and has facilitated succession planning sessions with families.

Robert belongs to the following professional associations: the Law Societies of Alberta and Saskatchewan, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Canadian Bar Association.
