Meet Our Team
Director, Wealth Management, and Portfolio Manager
My investment career began in 1987 during a challenging time in the markets. My experience of weathering difficult markets is invaluable to clients who rely on my discretion to manage their investments. Today, I have more than a quarter of a century’s experience and have grown my business with established methods and wise investment counsel. Prior to joining Richardson GMP in 2013 when it acquired Macquarie Private Wealth, I built my career at Nesbitt Thompson and Dundee Securities.
I am a qualified Portfolio Manager and hold my insurance, options and derivatives licenses as well as my US registration to offer a full suite of investment services that includes insurance and estate and retirement planning. I manage wealth on a discretionary basis through uniquely customized portfolios, advising my clients without bias to any product or platform.
As a pioneer of my own proprietary system to facilitate the cashless exercise of employee stock options earned me an invitation to join the new Toronto Chapter of the Global Equity Organization as a founding member. I completed a double major in Political Science and Economics at York University in 1986. Active in my community for many years, I am the Treasurer of the Meadowwood Tennis Club, President of the Birchy Lake Residents’ Asssocation (BLRA), a board member of our local ratepayers’ community organization and past Treasurer of the Armagh Second Stage women’s shelter.
Working closely with Margaret, I help ensure that your needs are met. As a licensed Registered Representative, I have more than seven years of experience in the wealth management sector, and am able to communicate in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai, and Spanish. Prior to joining Margaret at Richardson GMP, I worked at several large international financial institutions, which has allowed me to build a strong background in processes. My knowledge and commitment to superior service make me an excellent resource for any questions you might have.
I hold a degree from Queen’s University in Music and passionately continue to be an advocate of the arts, especially in education. Outside of the office, I try to lead an exceptionally active life, and can often be found gallivanting around Toronto with my rescue dogs.
